Erehwon Consulting ...Rings a bell ??Neither did it for me(although it's based in bangalore!!) ...But there seems to be something special abt this group of ppl who strongly believe in innovation and knowledge management and have given valid cases of how it has proved fruitful for companies-even in the Indian context...Interesting reading..will have to observe if they continue to make the headlines....

YAY !! Chennai hath it's own private FM radio stations from yesterday..Both of them though(Suryan FM & Radio Mirchi)seem to be blaring tamil songs as of right now...But,it's a pleasant surprise for us TV and time-starved creatures in hostels...Did a search to find a mention of Suryan's launch on Sun TV's site..The big brother-radio mirchi though doesn't even have a site..Neither does anything abt the chennai launch turn up on any search !!!
I have this theory abt FM radio-It redefines a city !!The culture changes !! I have seen it happening in b'lore..People smile at each other while listening to the same RJ on radio..RJ's that have not even been seen in person are celebrities !! A joke on air elicits a response from everybody locked in and there's a collective understanding among everybody...Civic issues get a platform for discussion..Govt. officials become accessible thru call-in programmes...I only hope all this happens in chennai...
My only concern-I hope both channels are not tamil centric and kill each other in the process...I can guess Suryan's positioning..I wonder what radio mirchi's would be ??

The thing I like about OutlookIndia is the ability of the editor-Vinod Mehta to pick up diverse issues ranging from increasingly widespread adultery among married women in India to Bollywood's top movies and an analysis of why only one contemporary movie-Lagaan finds a spot in the top 10 !!
