Assorted topics..long time,no blog..so the title..

Project Swades is on and considering my devotion towards the film,would request all who are reading this to spend Rs.2 and send an SMS to 7827 with the word "Swades"in it...Star India (the media conglomerate) would be contributing Rs.10 towards a rural electrification scheme in india in return..noble cause..please be useful...to the country and...to yourself...

Mangal pandey was....watchable..only once though...points i liked:

1.the look in the East india company sepoys' eyes when they have to kill one of their own..
2.the voice over by om puri...both brothers are blessed with a fantastic voice
3.and of course..."Mangal Mangal" by Kailash Kher(PS:i am sure kailash kher makes an appearance in the song "maula maula"..true or false..anybody care to elucidate ? )...the guy is unbeatable...first with "allah ke bande" and now with this...together with rabbi and shibani kashyap they represent to me the future of the indian music scene...move over aasma and more of these indian idol contest winners...

Points i didnt like..

1.Saala..masala movie hai...too much color and spice...and i thot it was a ketan mehta-aamir khan movie..
2. doesnt capture the spirit of the promos..too many expectations spoil the.. u know the rest..

Overall...value for money..but still..below par..

Anyone else watching "the great indian laughter challenge" on star one ? well..if you arent u are missing something awesome ! apart from the hosts shekar suman and navjot-cycle stand-siddhu,everything about it is awesome ! the semifinals are on right now and it promises unlimited laughter...a rarity in our lives..
